How do I face this season of pressure at work?
Work pressure rarely arrives as one clean problem; it comes as a stack that never quite empties. This verse does not promise that the stack will disappear. It says that no temptation has taken you except what is common to man, that God is faithful, and that he will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able. That first puts down the question, “Why is this happening only to me?” What you are facing is not a special punishment; others have stood in the same place. The pressure is still real, but it has a limit, and the one who sets the limit is faithful. You can stop proving that you can carry it alone: name the heaviest item, ask for help, and tell God plainly that you are not sufficient for this. Which pressure have you been calling manageable, and what would it look like to ask for the way through instead?
